General Indication:
Serous membranes, particularly articular synovia, where it causes irritation and effusion. Pain is throbbing, slightest movement and improved by absolute immobility, acute neuralgia, cramp-like. Pain is improved by flexing, by bending over, by strong pressure, and by heat. It is aggravated by movement. Spasmodic pain, especially in the back and loins, forcing the patient to sit up in bed in order to turn over. Joints are swollen and warm, improved by rest.
