Description
Calendula, a marigold flower in yellow color, commonly called skin’s friend. Frequently used in homoeopathic system as a healing agent for lacerated, septic wounds and skin affections. Germs cannot flourish in the presence of Calendula officinalis. Calendula stops too early scab formation at the wound place and stimulates the growth of epithelial cells. It retains the healing agents actively working on the place until the wound is healed. This helps to prevent marks and infections. Avoid frequent changing of the dressing because this inhibits with the healing process and causes too early scab formation, which can result in scarring. Remember when cleaning a wound, always clean externally away from the wound. |
