Physiological Actions : This agent is an astringent styptic, sedative and tonic.It acts upon the veins much as Aconite does upon the arteries, and results in venous congestion, and haemorrhages. Full doses produce a throbbing in the head.

Description : It is an important venous remedy, venous congestion, hemorrhages, varicose veins, and Hemorrhoids, with bruised soreness of affected parts. Venous congestions, varicosities of every kind, venous hemorrhages. Useful in bad effects from bleeding prostration out of proportion to amount of blood lost.
Dosage : Tincture 5 to 10 drops 15 minutes or oftener or3 times a day.
