Introduction:
Asthma:
It is a disease characterized by recurrent attacks of breathlessness and wheezing, which vary in severity and frequency from person to person. In an individual, they may occur from hour to hour and day to day.
This condition is due to inflammation of the air passages in the lungs and affects the sensitivity of the nerve endings in the airways so they become easily irritated. In an attack, the lining of the passages swell causing the airways to narrow and reducing the flow of air in and out of the lungs.
Types:
There are many different types of the disease, separated by age and severity.
Allergic asthma: In people with allergic asthma, coming into contact with an allergen sets off an immune reaction that causes airways to swell. That, in turn, can initiate an asthma attack.
Non-allergic asthma: Non-allergic asthma is similar to allergic asthma in that something irritates the airways, but the symptoms don’t come from an immune system response. Instead, airways are simply hypersensitive to different triggers.
Exercise-induced asthma: Also called exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB), this is shortness of breath or wheezing triggered by exercise, especially if it’s done in cold, dry air.
Aspirin-induced asthma: As many as 5% of people with asthma have aspirin-induced asthma, which occurs when taking aspirin triggers an asthma attack.
Adult-onset asthma: While asthma is more common in childhood, it can also develop during adulthood, called adult-onset asthma. “It can happen at almost any age”.
Cough-variant asthma: Wheezing and shortness of breath are considered classic asthma symptoms. And while many people with asthma also experience coughing, it’s the main symptom in cough-variant asthma.
Occupational asthma: Certain occupations seem especially prone to asthma, including baking, farming, and working in metal, wood, and plastics industries.
Nighttime (nocturnal) asthma: As the name implies, nocturnal or nighttime asthma is asthma that gets worse at night. It may be influenced by hormones that wax and wane as part of the sleep-wake cycle, but it may also be caused by acid reflux.
Causes:
Many different aspects of a person’s environment and genetic makeup can contribute to the development of asthma.
- Genetics: Asthma tends to run in families. Genetics play an important role in causing asthma.
- Allergies: Some people are more likely to develop allergies than others.
- Respiratory Infections: certain respiratory infections have been shown to cause inflammation and damage the lung tissue.
- Environment: Contact with allergens, certain irritants, or exposure to viral infections. Exposure to certain chemicals and dusts.
Symptoms:
Asthma signs and symptoms include:
- Shortness of breath
- Chest tightness or pain
- Trouble sleeping caused by shortness of breath, coughing or wheezing
- A whistling or wheezing sound when exhaling
- Coughing or wheezing attacks that are worsened by a respiratory virus, such as a cold or the flu
Indications:
Asthma is a disease affecting the air ways that carry air to and from our lungs. People who suffer from this chronic condition are said to be asthmatic. Masood’s HR 47 is designed to enhance the bronchial and respiratory functions. It works surprisingly in all the asthmatic symptoms tightening of muscles around your air ways, less air able to flow through your air ways, inflammation of air ways, and more mucus production in air ways.
Pharmacology:

The flavonoids act as antiinflammatory agents because they inhibit the action of protein kinase, phospholipase A2, cyclooxygenase, and lipoxygenase, as well as the release of mediators of inflammation (e.g. histamine) from leukocyte.HR 47 contains the whole properties of allium sativum . It shows Immunologic Effects Antimicrobial and Anti-viral Effects. In HR 47 garlic may enhance phagocytosis, lymphocyte proliferation, enhanced killer cell activity and cytokine production, and prevention of immune suppression. HR 47 has Antitussive and demulcent activity due to the glycyrrhizin in glycyrrhiza glabra, was found to be effective in the treatment of sore throat cough bronchial catarrh.
